REFUND POLICY
Last updated 30 August 2026.
THE SHORT VERSION
Every payment on roastit.lol is a one-time purchase. The product is your entry — a roast or a clap-back — going live on the board, and it goes live the moment your payment completes. Because the product is delivered instantly and in full, our default is that payments are final and not refunded. The exceptions are listed below, and none of your legal rights are taken away by this page.
WHAT YOU ARE BUYING
A roast payment puts your roast on the target’s card and adds your amount to their pot. A clap-back payment pins your reply with a SURVIVED 🔥 badge. Both are entertainment, both are delivered the second the payment lands, and neither comes with any promise about what happens afterwards — how the board moves, who sees your entry, or whether the target cries.
PADDLE, THE MERCHANT OF RECORD
Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record: the checkout is theirs and the charge on your statement comes from them. Paddle runs its own refund policy for the transaction, and as the seller of record it can grant a refund under that policy at its discretion, including where we would not have.
YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS
If you are a consumer in the UK, the EU, the EEA, or Switzerland, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase of digital content within 14 days. By paying, you ask for your entry to go live immediately and acknowledge that once it does, the purchase is fully performed — which is how that right lawfully ends for instantly delivered digital content. Nothing on this page removes any refund right that the law where you live gives you regardless.
THINGS THAT ARE NOT REFUND EVENTS
- Buyer’s remorse. The button said “no refunds, this is a joke that costs real money” and it meant both halves.
- Moderation. If the referee hides your entry for breaking the rules, the money stays in the pot. You paid to enter the ring; the referee’s call is part of the ring.
- The clap-back race. If the pot grows between the moment your clap-back checkout opens and the moment your payment lands, your survival counts at the amount you paid — even if that means you are instantly back under fire. Funny, correct, non-refundable.
- Board movement. Being out-roasted, out-ranked, or ignored is the game working as designed.
THINGS WE DO MAKE RIGHT
If something genuinely goes wrong with the payment itself — you were charged twice for the same entry, or you paid and your entry never appeared and we cannot fix it — we will refund the broken charge. Payment errors are our problem, not yours.
HOW TO ASK
Email hello@roastit.lol with the receipt Paddle sent you, or use the link on that receipt to go straight to Paddle. Either route works; the receipt route goes straight to the seller of record.
WHERE THIS POLICY LIVES
This page restates the payment terms in the Terms. The Terms are the agreement; if this page and the Terms ever disagree, the Terms win.
